Accounts Payable Supervisor - Polk County Florida

Due to growth we have an opening in our Accounting Department!
Duties:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor, supervises the full cycle of accounts payable activities, month-end accruals, and GL reconciliations as well as supervises the accounts payable staff.
Prepare, examine, and/or analyze accounting records, or other financials reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Analyze transactions, trends, costs, financial commitments, and obligations, to resolve transaction problems.
Provide recommendations on efficiency of future transactions, based on assessment of how problems associated with transactions are resolved.
Ensure accuracy of documented transactions and that all associated documentation is correctly matched to each transaction.
Manage Accounts Payable including reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Prioritize accounts payable and decide who, when, and how much each vendor should be paid according to documented terms.
Compile financial, accounting, or auditing reports for expenditures and accounts payable.
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations specific to GAAP standards and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years job-related work experience in Accounts Payable Department
Advanced skills with MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Knowledge of any of the following a plus; Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AS400, DocuWare, On Line Banking, Great Plains
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills
Must be able to lead and direct the work of others

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
