JOB DESCRIPTION The Information Technology Generalist role will report directly to the General Manager and be an integral part of the overall IT function.
This position will be directly responsible for assisting in implementing and maintaining all IT systems on the property in addition to managing hardware and workstations.
This role needs to be a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a team focused environment which will include collaborating across multiple departments within the resort.
Technical ability and Troubleshooting skills are a must.
Previous exposure to hospitality IT systems is ideal, but not required.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assist with Implementing and Maintaining IT systems including but not limited to POS, PMS, intranet, cloud-based systems, wifi systems, etc Provide day-to-day support of all systems Conduct user training for property/site systems, network enhancements, hardware and software systems when necessary Inventory hardware products and software licenses Review maintenance agreements and recommend new technology when appropriate Oversee network configuration, servers, workstations, networking equipment, email accounts and IT infrastructure Implementation of preventive maintenance schedule Adhere to IT policies and procedures and recommend new items as appropriate Manage disaster recovery process Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems Maintain deep understanding of internet security and data privacy principles Maintain and update phone/PBX system Willingness and ability to perform other IT Systems related tasks as assigned SKILLS AND
Qualifications:
Self-motivator that is driven to success Technical IT skills with strong troubleshooting abilities Knowledge of hospitality IT systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be detailed oriented and have strong time management skills to be able to multi-task Must possess multiple years of hospitality IT experience Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment Detail minded and strong organization skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed Degree or Diploma in Information Technology field or strong experience through previous employment.
