UNDER NEW MANAGEMENTThis position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance, the incumbent is responsible for observation and maintaining the operation of pumps, electric motors and feed pumps, and boilers; reads various charts, graphs, gauges, and meters on the HMI.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential FunctionsOperate utility systems including steam, CO2 collection, ammonia refrigeration, dehumidification, and compressed air.
Compress and distribute air, follow-up high consumption and take actions.
Observe and maintain the operation of pumps, electric motors and feed pumps, and boilers; reads various charts, graphs, gauges, and meters on the HMI; Make repairs when necessary.
Read and record water usage at water meters; analyze results and actions; tests meters and replace as needed.
Ensures the correct escalation process is followed in the event of an out-compliance reading.
Follows up on problems and recommends solutions in cooperation with the Projects Engineer.
Make sure all machine errors are reported via running inspection every shift.
Responsible for process management, maintenance tasks, lubrication, housekeeping, and sanitation.
Document and respond to all activities that occur during shift of responsibility.
Respond to customer department requests for assistance with utility system optimization and/or isolation.
Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures, taking immediate corrective action in the event a potential issue or unsafe behavior is observed.
Ensure a safe working environment through the commitment to company safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills RequiredApplicants should be familiar with automated process control systems.
Experience in the following areas is desired:
water tube medium pressure boilers; large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems; compressed air systems; cooling tower systems; CO2 gas collection and liquefaction systems.
Applicant must have a positive work attitude and be self-motivated.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform physical work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Stand 5-7 Hours Walk 5-7 HoursStoop/Bend 3-4 Hours Crouch/Squat 3-4 HoursLift up to 50 lbs.
0-1 Hours Overhead Work 5-7 HoursPush/Pull 5-7 Hours Operate Machinery 2-3 Hours Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or Journeyman Card is a plus.
Two years or more experience in an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or military environment.
